Thanks to a group of girls that get together weekly (they are all moms and manage to pull this off!!) I was a special guest at this weeks gathering! The idea behind there party was to swap out clothing, shoes, jewellery, accessories and treat it like they were shopping within their friends closets! What a great idea and some of the clothes and shoes to choose from was shocking, very nice pieces to say the least! I was approached by last night’s host and she wondered if I could set up a makeup and skincare store within her home and be a ‘real’ retailer for her gang of girls! I immediately thought ‘great idea’ and was excited about the exposure I would gain about showcasing details of garrison girl spa and having the chance to demonstrate and play with some makeup! The best part was the casual atmosphere and the enjoyment girls get when they discuss there beauty needs and of course some new ideas I was able to share with them. Eyeshadow placement was popular and choosing lip gloss shades!

One look that was great was a smokey bronze eye using the tribeca triad shadow set with a coal liner to fill in the lash line. A dab of highlight on the inner corner of the eye and some high definition black mascara was just that ’smokin’ on the eye! I also really liked the combination of smudgey coal eyeliner applied heavy at the upper lash line with the darker green shade found in the jungle triad shadow set applied directly over top of the coal and then to pop some highlight I used the pale shimmered yellow just in the center of the upper lash line and then a generous application of high definition black mascara! It was beautiful!

No need to complicate your daily routine with makeup just understanding what works for you, what feels comfortable, colors that compliment and using a product that is designed to keep your beauty routine simple and easy were key discussions at the clothing swap party last night! Lots of fun and chiiki munki makeup proved to be a great fit for the gang of girls.

Skoah is a personal skin care company based in the trendy shopping district of Yaletown in the heart of Vancouver. They create quality skin care products and sell them exclusively at their Skoah locations, online and at a few select retailers such as Garrison Girl. Skoah is leading the way in creativity and innovation in the skin care industry.

What’s Skoah’s personal training for your skin?
Personal training for your skin is not a guilty pleasure, sporadic indulgence, or ‘beauty treatment.’ Just like your body, your skin needs regular workouts to stay healthy and look its best. Skoah creates simple, powerful skin care products which blend the best of nature with modern science. You eat right, you exercise, you “skoah” for your skin. ???Skoah’s philosophy?? We take our skin care seriously, but believe a smile is the best ‘look’ of all. We want our customers to feel great from the skin in.

What’s Garrison Girl’s relationship with Skoah?
Over the past five years I have worked with Skoah as a “skin care trainer” at their original location in Yaletown and at their newest location in Calgary. I have trained exclusively with the Skoah product team and was on hand for the launch of Skoah’s skin care line and their latest venture into the world of Chiki Munki makeup. At Garrison Girl we “live and breath” Skoah and are experts in ‘training you’ into better skin.
